10 Jedi Who Deserved Happier Endings, According to Reddit

Order 66 marked the complete annihilation of the Jedi Order, and Obi wan Kenobi continues to look at the consequences of that. There are countless Jedi Padawans, Knights and Masters throughout the Star Wars timeline they were met with cruel fates. Some, in particular, deserved better endings than the ones they received.

Whether they were killed in that Emperor’s order or perhaps sacrificed themselves in a different era, Reddit users feel that these great Jedi characters at Canon definitely deserved a happier ending, but were never allowed to live the peaceful lives they so deserved.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka and the Mandalorian in Boba Fett

Ahsoka Tano’s ultimate fate has yet to be revealed. But when it comes to the Jedi, the conclusion of his story with the Order has already been set. Ahsoka painfully left the Jedi, turning her back on the Temple and Council forever because of the way she was treated.

ety3rd spoke about how unfair that ending was, saying, “If you remember, she felt betrayed by the Jedi Order because they didn’t support her, despite how loyal she had been and how many years of service she had given them.” The story resonated with the Reddit user and was a cruel way to end Ahsoka’s time. In the years since, she has at least defined what life outside the Order can truly be like as a hero.

Quinlan Vos

Regardless of what happened to Vos, his fate is still tragic. After finding love with Asajj Ventress, she was cruelly murdered in black discipleleaving him alone to grieve, before being caught up with the loss of Order 66. Fans like HullSplitter still hope for a happier return for the character, saying, “In some comics, the Inquisitors list him as a possible survivor. I doubt it.” there were plenty of inquisitors who could kill him, but I’m sure he’ll show up in a book or comic somewhere in the future.”

Right Jars

Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels

Kanan Jarrus started life quite tragically, with his Master being killed during Order 66. In rebels, he is shown to find a new family, reconnecting with the Force, bonding with the love of his life, Hera, and teaching the new Jedi the ways of the old Order.

However, his sacrifice is one of Canon’s most painful moments. Helping his team escape, Kanan had already given up a lot in life, but he had one last move to make. His death as colemacgrath2009 noted, “hits harder because Jedi aren’t normally passionate, but they aren’t father figures either, at least as we’ve seen them portrayed”.

Plo Koon

Attack of the Clones

Plo Koon is a personal favorite among many Star Wars fans and even creator Dave Filoni. He became a major factor in the comics as well as the Clone Wars Series. However, his fate has always been tied to Order 66. Fans will know that in Revenge of the Sith, he is shot down in his fighter.

Death can apparently never be undone, as it appears to be quite final. It’s a shame that so many resonate with the Jedi. One Reddit user said that “The guy cared so much about his clones. He treated them like real people. Of all the Jedi, he cared about his clones equal to Obi-Wan or even more. Cold blooded was heartbreaking .” Plo Koon absolutely deserved better.

Shaak Ti

Clone Wars Shaak Ti Lama Su

Shaak Ti was another Jedi that was often overlooked. She served in the Clone Wars and was one of the few people to oversee the cloning process. She was kind, caring and a very strong leader. She might even have been able to take over the Jedi Council one day and was as respected as Mace Windu.

His story has many conclusions, but none of them feel worthy of his actions. From Legend comics to deleted scenes, MrJedabak sums it up by suggesting that “In Canon, she was killed by Anakin in the Jedi Temple. In Legends, she was killed by Starkiller in Kashyyyk.” Regardless of the nature of her fate, it’s clear from the discussion that it’s hard to swallow, which is perhaps why it’s so often used for emotional conflicts.

Tera Sinube

Tera Sinube appears in the Jedi tomb in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Tera Sinube left her mark on the The Clone Wars, where he became a short-term mentor to the young Ahsoka Tano. He was patient and wise, but an older member of the Jedi Order. He did things at his own pace, but it always got him results, despite being mocked by some.

Such a kind soul didn’t deserve the end of her story that was shown in Obi wan Kenobi. Zucchini2024 reflects everyone’s emotions when they say “NO SINUBE! Your episode of TCW it was one of the ones I remember staying up to watch as a kid with the family. It breaks my goddamn heart.”

Luminara Unduli

Luminara Unduli was a graceful Jedi master who knew how to get the best out of those around her. She was self-assured, extremely powerful and a wonderful leader. But her history with the Jedi was troubled thanks to her rogue Padawan, who sought to bring about the end of the Order.

Considering how great she was as a Master, it’s a shame her reputation is tied to this incident. However, the horrible scene in rebels demonstrated its final resting place after Order 66. With Kanan discovering that his corpse was used to bring in other Jedi, audiences shared the same feelings as the characters. DeepThrowaway99 said, “The emotions I felt in that initial episode were like a punch in the gut, and not only that, but I didn’t realize how messed up the empire really was.”

Sskeer

Star Wars High Republic Sskeer

Sskeer is one of the newest Jedi to be introduced to Canon as part of the High Republic initiative. While many familiar faces are also appearing, the original Jedi Master has a complex history to explore, which sees him battling a degenerative disease, while still trying to maintain contact with the Force.

It seems that the comic book has marked its end point, with the hero sacrificing himself using his abilities to keep a monstrous creature at bay. Even though the evidence is clear, fans aren’t willing to let go of the character, like IcePhoenix295, who said “the realization that Sskeer is now one of two Jedi (him and Elzar) who can fight the unnamed was great. . I hope he makes it.” Chances are, unfortunately, he won’t.

Ezra Bridger

Ezra Bridger's Star Wars Rebels

Ezra Bridger has had one of the most intriguing journeys of any character in the world. Star Wars universe. Initially a boy who was flying solo and trying to survive under the Empire, he quickly becomes a powerful Jedi; one that might even have turned to the dark side at times. But what really happened to Ezra?

It is partly a mystery. Fans last saw the character launched into space alongside Thrawn. However, fans are hopeful that he isn’t lost forever, considering how cruel that would be. Some even chose to believe in a happier ending, with Milkshake Wizard saying that he and Thrawn are “traveling to various planets just enjoying beautiful artwork”. Maybe Ahsoka will give you a better ending.

Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn was just trying to do what’s best for the galaxy. He gave Kenobi the best start he could have and tried to secure the prophecy he believed in. It wasn’t fair that he was defeated fighting Maul, especially when the latter actually survived.

Fans never got over Jinn’s murder as the public barely got to know him. 12thDoctorIsABadass shared his views saying “he was one of the most interesting characters for me and was [wild] how painful his death was, especially with Kenobi briefly using the dark side afterwards and Qui Gon telling Obi to train the Chosen with his last breath.”
