The Presley family made history on Tuesday.

Three generations of Presleys – Priscilla, 77, Lisa Marie, 54, and her daughter Riley, 33, as well as her twins Harper and Finley, 13 – were seen side by side at the Hands and Footprints Ceremony held outside TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Also in attendance were Austin Butler, who plays the rock star in the new Elvis movie, and the film’s director, Baz Luhrmann.

Lisa Marie wore a black suit with a tie and a starched white shirt with faded streaked hair.

She was with her mother Priscilla, who looked young with her red hair parted to the side as she was in a black suit with a white shirt but no tie.

And then there was Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter Riley, whose father is Lisa Marie’s ex Danny Keough.

Riley has built an acting career for herself as she starred in Mad Max: Fury Road and Zola.

This did for three generations side by side.

And Lisa Marie’s 13-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley, whom she had with ex Michael Lockwood, also got their hands dirty.

It was a special event for the family who came together to celebrate the Friday premiere of Luhrmann’s new Elvis film covering his childhood and rise to fame.

On Tuesday, Lisa Marie said she was moved by the film.

She joined Priscilla and Riley for a 20/20 special called Exclusively Elvis: A Special Edition of 20/20 that airs Tuesday night.

While Lisa said the movie made her ’emotional’, Riley cried five minutes after the movie, her mother said.

The preview seen on Good Morning America. The film from acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann opens Friday in the US.

The interview took place at Elvis’ former home, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee, which has been a museum for decades.

Lisa Marie told 20/20’s Chris Connelly that watching the film was ’emotional’ for her and brought up ‘such generational trauma… in a good way’.

And her mother Priscilla said she thinks her late husband would have ‘loved’ the film.

‘It was very intense. As a movie, it’s just an exceptional movie,’ added Riley, who cried five minutes after the movie.

The title role of Jailhouse Rock singer Elvis – who died in 1977 – is played by Austin Butler. “I wasn’t thinking about what I would do physically, it felt like I was looking through his eyes,” Butler said during the 20/20 special.

Tom Hanks plays Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker. In the special, he said he didn’t realize that Elvis brought sexuality to the stage for the first time.

Exclusively Elvis: The 20/20 Special Edition airs Tuesday at 10 pm ET on ABC. It will be available to stream on Hulu starting Wednesday.

This preview comes shortly after Luhrmann revealed that there is a four-hour version of his Elvis movie.

The 59-year-old director recently directed the two-hour, 39-minute film, but there is also a longer cut.

He said, ‘I mean, I have a four-hour version, actually. I do. But you have to reduce it to 2 hours and 30.’

Luhrmann would have liked to have included more about Elvis’ romance with his first girlfriend, Dixie, as well as his relationship with his band in the film.

The film chronicles Elvis’ childhood and rise to stardom, as well as his relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks).

Luhrmann added to RadioTimes.com: ‘I’d like to dig deeper into some of the other stuff – there’s so much more. I mean, there’s a lot of things that I photographed like the relationship with the band, I had to trim [that] down – and it’s as interesting as Colonel [Tom Parker] get rid of them.

“The relationship with your first girlfriend, Dixie, you know. And later on like… once he’s caught in a trap, and he’s confused and doesn’t understand… someone who has a hole in his heart like Elvis constantly looking and looking for love and finding it on stage, but nowhere else.’

Butler recently admitted that he felt an ‘immense amount of fear’ playing Elvis.

He said: “I felt a great responsibility to Elvis, his family, all the people around the world who love him so much.

“So it was incredible pressure – and with that comes an immense amount of fear. I began to feel this energetic exchange.

“And so I allowed my imagination to really accept that this is the 68 Special, I’m doing it for this audience now. My career is at stake.

“I looked at myself in the mirror – I’m dressed in leather, covered in sweat. And I had this moment where all of a sudden I was like, ‘OK, I can do this.’
