HBO Has Perfect Response to Jon Snow Sequel Reports

HBO Max quotes Ygritte in her hilarious response to recent reports that HBO has a Game of Thrones sequel focused on Jon Snow in development.

HBO Max shared the perfect answer to all these reports about a War of Thrones series of sequels following Kit Harrington’s Jon Snow. Based on George RR Martin A Song of Ice and Fire, War of Thrones aired on HBO from 2011 to 2019. Over the course of the groundbreaking series’ eight seasons, Harrington played Ned Stark’s bastard son Jon Snow, who became Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch and King in the North. After an abandoned prophecy and the revelation that Jon’s real name was Aegon Targaryen, Jon was banished from Westeros for killing Daenerys Targaryen in War of Thrones’ Final. The final scene of the series saw Jon and Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) riding north beyond the Wall with the Wildings.

Following War of Thrones’ incredibly divisive final season, several prequels have been announced and are in development at HBO. These shows include the working title Tales of Dunk and Egg, 9 trips, Flea Bottom, 10,000 shipsand of course this year dragon house— most of which are loosely based on works already written by Martin. Recently, news emerged that HBO was developing its first potential War of Thrones sequel series about Jon Snow, with Harrington attached to reprise his role. Now, HBO Max has responded in kind.

The official Twitter account for HBO Max recently shared a photo of Harrington’s character for season 1. The post was accompanied by a reference to the iconic phrase often uttered by Ygritte from Rose Leslie (before and after Olly put an arrow in her)”You know nothing, Jon Snow.” Naturally, HBO is here to say, “I do not know anything.“Check it out below:

In view of the challenges associated with an essential continuation of the War of Thrones’ main story, many probably found the news of a sequel hard to believe. Also, Harrington has signaled that he’s done with Westeros in the past. As they haven’t outright denied it, the above tweet seems to confirm that a Jon Snow sequel is part of the HBO discussion. While too many spin-offs could result in diminishing returns – which was likely the case for a galaxy far, far away – a sequel to this particular main series could not only work wonders for the taste it left in the mouths of (almost) all, but give the Prince who was Promised a suitable throne.

no member of War of Thrones The creative team for the sequel has been announced. However, Martin himself is very involved with all the other spinoffs that are in the works at HBO. His involvement with a sequel would lend credibility to his existence (if he ends The Winter Winds and a spring dream), as it further connects to the source material. A Harrington-focused show would also allow for the return of everyone else who survived the Mad Queen, including Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams’ Arya Stark, Gwendoline Christie’s Brienne of Tarth, John Bradley’s Samwell Tarly, and Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister. . The last of which said “a few years as Hand of the King would want to make anyone p-ss off the edge of the world.”
