New to Netflix on June 10: Peaky Blinders, season 6

It’s not just the sixth season of Peaky Blinders, is also the last in the series, and a lot has changed since we last saw Cillian Murphy as gang leader Tommy Shelby. (Most notably, the death of actress Helen McCrory, who played Aunt Polly, casts a shadow over this final season.) Thankfully, the rest of the show’s stellar cast, including Tom Hardy, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sophie Rundle and Sam Claflin are returning to finish the story of the Shelby gang, one of England’s most notorious criminal enterprises. from the 1920s. Tune in this weekend to watch all six episodes of the show’s final season to see how the gang’s story ends.

New on Apple TV+ on June 10: for all humanity (Session 3)

One of the first Apple TV+ shows ever, for all humanity has, until now, been a period piece, featuring fashion and sets straight from the Summer of Love and the decade that followed, wrapped in an alternate reality sci-fi drama set against the backdrop of the space race. Season three brings us a little closer to the present day, as it takes place two decades after season two, in the 1990s, as NASA remains determined to make faster progress than its cosmonaut enemies. After a base was established on the Moon in season two, our intrepid astronauts set their sights on Mars, and decades after the series began, we are privileged to observe the science behind space missions and our characters as they evolve.

New to Disney+ on June 10: Beyond Infinity: Buzz and the Journey to Lightyear

The evolution of the toy astronaut Buzz Lightyear is as meta as possible. Buzz was originally created as a fictional children’s toy in a series of animated films (and thanks to marketing and commercialism this Buzz was turned into a real toy that real live human kids could play with, my kids are 4 of them, ask me anything!) and now Buzz Lightyear’s character will have his own origin story in the upcoming film, Lightyear, where we’ll learn the story of the “real” “astronaut” that inspired the toy featured in the original films. Beyond Infinity: Buzz and the Journey to Lightyear is a documentary that provides the backstory of Buzz, how the original version came about, and how his story (and the men, Tim Allen and Chris Evans, who voiced him) came to embody him.
