Vince McMahon found himself surrounded by controversy after reports of an alleged $3 million behind-the-scenes deal with a former employee were made public. As a result, he stepped away from his role as president and CEO of WWE, with his daughter Stephanie McMahon taking over in his absence.

#3 WWE is currently under investigation by five law firms
Previous reports claimed that there were internal investigations against Vince McMahon after he allegedly paid a former employee $3 million to cover up a case. The latest reports state that the WWE Board of Directors is also under investigation by four other law firms.
First, Schall Law Firm, a ‘national shareholder rights litigation firm’, confirmed that it was investigating the company. Soon afterward, Scott+Scott Attorneys at Law LLP, Rosen Law Firm, Bragar Eagel & Squire and Labaton Sucharow LLP confirmed through a recent press release that they also opened investigations.
Scott+Scott Attorneys has announced that it is inspecting the Board of Directors and senior management’s failure to run the company “acceptably”.
#2 Former WWE Writer Reacts to Vince McMahon’s Surprise Appearance on RAW
While Vine McMahon’s appearance on last week’s SmackDown was confirmed in advance, his return to the big screen on RAW was kept as a surprise. In his brief segment, Vince McMahon announced John Cena’s highly-heralded return to the red mark next week.
Vince Russo questioned whether Vince McMahon hoped to capitalize on John Cena’s popularity at such times. He discussed the plausible intentions behind Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW decision and said:
“Bro, I have to say this, and I know we have to be careful, and I’m going to be really careful. I’m not going to piss anyone off; I’m going to be really, really careful.” clarified Vince Russo. “But I figured we could only talk about the facts. That’s all I’m asking, really. Bro, is he trying to get John Cena to rub? Like, that’s the only thing I got out of it. get an impression of John Cena? [laughs]. That’s the only thing I got out of it, bro!”
During his appearance on SmackDown, Vince McMahon repeated the WWE slogan “So now, forever” and then ended his promotion by saying “…but most importantly, together.” While there was more cheers than boos for him during both shows, WWE fans on Twitter had a mixed response to his onscreen appearances amid the ongoing controversy.
